Rated 3 out of 5 by Derrick from Good, but not hardy enough for real backpacking These are very light and well made. I found them perfectly comfortable walking miles around town. However, I used them for a recent backpacking trip. I had roughly 45lbs in my pack. When you start traversing trails that aren't kept up (nearly all in Washington right now) and doing rock scrambles...you will feel everything under your foot. This resulted in some massive foot pain and blisters. I hiked roughly 35 miles in 4 days using these. With no pack, they were fine. But once you add weight, they lose their effectiveness. Perhaps my fit wasn't perfect as I feel these run a little small, but since I've used them, I am unable to return them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tfinder from New daily driver I got a pair of these to finally replace my old Forsake Clydes and have been loving them. This pair is noticeably less bulky, lighter, more stable, and has better traction than the Clydes. I told myself I was going to try to keep them fresh but I I've been rocking them every day! I was a little nervous about the white bottom, but they're easy to clean and seem to be stain resistant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Emily K from Great quality and company customer service We bought another pair of Forsake shoes. The Halden. They caused extensive blisters on my son’s heels. forsake customer service was excellent— the best of any footwear company I’ve worked with. They sent a new pair of shoes in this Maddox style in his size. The new shoes are working great, great fit and no issues with causing blisters at all. I am a loyal customer after this experience and will continue to support this brand. Great job Forsake!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Jg17 from Forsake Maddox mid These are the most uncomfortable hiking boots I have ever purchased. I’ve been wearing them just walking around my neighborhood to break them in, and I keep getting blisters. I would return them if I could. I do not recommend them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by StreetWalker from Like the style, but need breaking in. I really like the style of these shoes. They seem well made, though I've only worn them a few weeks, so time will tell. The water proofing also seems to work in rain, but I haven't tried any submersion yet. When I first tried them on, I was worried that they were a bit tight and narrow, especially in the toe box. And the insole did feel a bit strange at the forefoot. But after walking some miles in them, they are starting to break in a little and feel much better, so I'm glad I kept them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by VT Johnny from Great shoe but small I have owned about 6 pair of forsake boots (Kickstarter Clydes- trail boot) so far . This was my next buy and I was looking for a boot similar to the trail. This boot was nothing like the trail. This boot was stiff and ran very small. It has a great look and style but it is not as comfortable as it looks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Charlie from Might be my new favorite shoes! I bought these to take some of the load off my other pair of Forsakes, the Phil Mids, that I wear literally everyday. Love the style and comfort of this shoe. They are a bit snug out of the box, but seem to be breaking in nicely. Considering making them my new hiking shoes, but I don't know if I want to get them dirty! Just like my Phil Mids, I love that they're waterproof and just a good pair of go-to shoes for almost any occasion.
