Rated 5 out of 5 by rachel27 from My favorite pair of shoes, ever. I have owned about 8 pairs of Patches over the years (yes, eight!!) and I can honestly say they are my favorite shoes ever. I have a pair in almost every color because they are that great. I love being able to go on a hike AND out to dinner in one pair of stylish, comfortable boots. I've put these through the wringer and am constantly impressed by the durability of the Patch. They are comfortable right out of the box and are best for day hiking but I've done some big hikes in them too. I always get tons of compliments when I wear them (which is every day). If you're on the fence about buying these, definitely do it! The black pair is my favorite- they go with everything.

I live in the Pacific Northwest and have been on the lookout for a waterproof (but also "cute") shoe that I can take on moderate hikes and comfortably walk my dog in. Unfortunately...and I did read other reviews that claimed this...my brand new forsake patches were scuffed right out of the box, and the left shoe has visible glue and wrinkling between the sole and the shoe (I'm wondering if that will affect the integrity of the waterproofing). I hope that these shoes stand up to the weather because they really are adorable and ever so comfortable!

Rated 5 out of 5 by S.A. from Cute and durable I got these this winter and have taken them on several hiking/camping trips. I also wore them as snow boots to get around the city. They’re very comfy to hike in and have great traction. My feet were toasty in the winter and not overheated during the summer. They are a little heavy but not any worse than what I would expect from a good pair of boots. They’ve been completely waterproof and look just about as good as new. My only complaint is that the laces get easily snagged on any sort of brush so the laces look pretty beat up now (although impressively still function). I’ve gotten a ton of compliments on them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RachelCO from The best boots I’ve ever owned I bought these boots about 3 weeks ago and basically haven’t taken them off since! I live in Colorado so the ground is still constantly snow/slush covered and these are the ONLY shoes I own that keep my feet completely dry AND warm. I own a pair of “waterproof” Merrell’s that hardly last 20 minutes in the snow before my feet are wet and freezing cold. A couple of days ago I was hiking in the mountains with my dogs and my foot broke through ice completely submerging my boot in icy cold water, yet my toes were still dry and warm during the 2 hour hike back. I will never be buying another brand of hiking boots ever again! I recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Rated 2 out of 5 by kebbo from So much good, but they destroyed my feet! There's so much to like about the Foresake boots--the looks, the quality of the waterproofing, and the customer service of the company. Unfortunately, I wore my Patches on a five-mile hike recently and they destroyed my feet. They were fine for the first 2.5 miles, but ultimately I ended up with blisters so bad on my heels I couldn't wear shoes for almost a week. Since then I've given them other tries on shorter walks, usually with thick wool socks, but they still rub uncomfortably. The next size up is too big and the next size down is too small on my toes. I'm super bummed, especially given how much they cost. I'm going to try to keep wearing them, but anticipate I'll need wool socks and duct tape or bandaids in advance. By the way, they run a whole size large.

Rated 4 out of 5 by majesticPuk from My favorite boots <3 I bought a pair of Patch boots THREE years ago (back when there was the ocean teal color - please bring them back and I will stock up for life!!). I have done everything in them, hiking in mud, snow and ice (up until last year living in the CO mountains) and they still wear very well. I've used Nikwax to protect the boots a couple times but for the most part they don't look as old as they are. I usually wear a size 9, but sized down to a 8.5 for these (I wear a 9 in the Alma style). The laces did break within the first winter I owned them (and I naturally lost the other pair), but other than that they're a great boot for my very picky feet.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Emily47 from Run Way Too Big I read all the reviews on Forsake.com and many on Amazon regarding sizing. I also measured my foot to make sure that my normal size 9 would be correct. Upon receiving, the size 9 was absolutely ginormous! I really wanted to wear these for an upcoming trip to Australia, so I decided to exchange. The question was, do I go down a half or whole size? I decided on a whole size since the 9 was huge. Well, much to my dismay the size 8 arrived and was too small. Now, I can't do anything but return and pay $10 since a size 8.5 won't be delivered before my trip. I honestly don't know what advice to give on sizing, just that it's not true to size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kady from Adorable hiking boots! These boots are so cute. I’ve ordered a handful of hiking boots before and always returned them because they just didn’t look right on me. To be fair, I don’t do much hiking, but needed a pair for the occasional outdoor outing. I can’t really speak to the performance of these boots yet since I just got them, but I will say that they’re very comfortable, not too heavy, and the tread seems like it will grip well. The boots also seem like they’re very well made and are of quality materials. I ordered a 7 and I usually wear a 7.5 or 8 in most shoes. These boots fit, but I don’t know if I would be able to wear super thick socks with them, which is fine with me as my feet get hot easily. Point being that they do run a tad big. Also, the boots come with a pair of brown spotted laces and plain brown laces. Nice to have the variety. Overall, I’m very happy and can’t wait to go on a hike!
